GENERAL CLAIM PROCEDURE

Following information would be useful to proceed claims efficiently:

• The loss or damage should be reported to the SGI immediately.
• On receipt of claim intimation, SGI will forward a claim form.
• Submit the completed claim form along with an approximate estimate of the loss to SGI
• An itemized estimate with separate values is preferable.
• SGI will arrange inspection of the damaged items to assess the loss. In case of bigger losses, a specialist and license holder surveyor will be deputed.
• SGI will provide the list of required documents to substantiate the extent of loss.
• In case the cause of loss is not established, it is for the insured (client), to prove the loss or damage according to an insured peril.
• On agreement of claim amount between the insured (client) and SGI, the claim will be settled.
